We at Dyloz Tours believe that a safari is not just about seeing wildlife... it is about feeling connected to nature, culture and unforgettable moments. We create personalised safari experiences where every journey tells a story. Our journey into tourism began with our travels around Uganda as children we were fascinated with the variety of nature’s abundance from the breath-taking landscapes to new wonderous vegetation and the unforgettable first encounters with wild animals as in the national parks. 

This fascination was cemented with the warm and charming hospitality of the people we encountered; who were thrilled to share their culture with us and immerse us in its abundance. We have also travelled and garnered priceless experiences and we now want to share with the whole world the experience that our little corner of the world has to offer. We believe that tourism and travels should recognise the significance of the local communities in the provision of tourism services thus we emphasise community interaction. Ugandan communities are warm and welcoming so this is easy to achieve.

The communities furthermore, have invaluable insights of their environment that is precious to any traveller. This includes animal behaviours, breeding partners, how the seasons affect the wild life among others that are still inform research to date. For this reason, the tour guides we engage are from the communities we visit to add to the authenticity of the experience.

We combine indigenous knowledge with the services we provide fully aware that the latest research shows that indigenous knowledge is quintessential in biodiversity conservation because societies that live close to the resources in question have practical knowledge on how to manage these resources and hence also to use them sustainably.

The intrinsic value of these resources is inseparable from the communities where these resources are found therefore, we involve the communities every step of the way.

The non-disruptive nature of using the local communities is also key to combat the effects of climate change. We help the communities adapt to the changes that are caused by climate change by engaging in tourism and also mitigate the impacts by providing alternative livelihood sources. So, if you choose us, you will directly be contributing to combating the effects of climate change to those who would be most affected.

This also serves as a conservation measure as indigenous communities would easily turn to wildlife for livelihoods out of poverty but we empower them in the use of the use of their wildlife resources and biodiversity as a source of income by showcasing their uniqueness and beauty to the world.

 We also arrange for pilgrimages to holy sites in Africa like the 9 martyrdom sites of the Uganda Martyrs, the site of the martyrs of Paimol, the origin St Josephine Bhakita and Blessed Bakanja in Congo the Marian apparition site in Kibeho among others.
